A little bit about myself:
I was born and raised in Boulder, growing up at the base of Flagstaff mountain. I had a Tom Sawyer childhood - rode my bike everywhere and anywhere, played capture the flag on the mountainside way past dark, got very dirty exploring in Gregory Creek, and spent snowy days sledding at Chautauqua. We didn't worry about bears and mountain lions. I attended Flatirons Elementary, Base Line Junior High (now New Vista), Boulder High (1988), and graduated from the University of Puget Sound (1992) with a BA in Economics.
My first love is hanging out with my wife, Anna, and two kids, ten-year old Livia and seven-year-old Mason. We play together a lot - swimming, biking, shooting hoop, Wii-ing, playing board games, reading, snuggling while we watch TV, skiing, and playing tennis. We stay pretty busy.
When non-family time is available, you will find me chasing my other passions, which include triathlons (2009 Wisconsin Ironman finisher and 2010 Ironman Canada finisher), anything regarding CU athletics, especially basketball, playing golf, or enjoying my favorite recovery drink a local micro-brew (preferably Dale's Pale Ale or a tasty IPA).
Life is good!
